A 5-day training workshop was conducted for 12 Local District Correspondents and fresh graduates from October 15-19, 2018 at Hazara University, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The purpose of the training was to enhance the capacity of local journalists and fresh graduates of the university in theoretical and technical aspects of modern Journalism.The training was based on available modern and practical skills and tools of technical and editorial skills of community journalism. The new skills are expected to improve the quality of the journalistic products and strengthen the voice of local communities. The activity was conducted in collaboration with the local press clubs and the department of Communication and Media Studies, Hazara University Mansehra, whereas it was sponsored by DW Academy. The activity is part of Media House objectives to work closely with different universities and press clubs in the capacity building of young faculty members and journalists.
